A Journey That Began Six Years Ago

A Testament to Resilience

At the heart of Bhoirobee’s endeavours lies a triad of ambitious missions, each interwoven with an unyielding commitment to breathe life into the forgotten whispers of our rich
cultural heritage. Bhoirobee’s core mission is to revive Bangladesh’s fading folk culture. We meticulously explore our nation’s rich tapestry of traditions through rigorous research, uncovering forgotten practices, stories, and art forms.

Our Initiatives

Bhoirobee’s unwavering commitment to cultural renaissance and societal progress takes shape through an intricate tapestry of purpose-driven initiatives. These ventures transcend the ordinary, weaving together the threads of heritage preservation and societal transformation into a vibrant narrative of renewal

Our initiatives include Shilpi Bachle, Shilpo Bachbe; Shikorer Sondhane; Je Shohore Ami Thaki; Dhara; Lokaloy; Palmo; Bhoirobee Theatre; Swachitro; Jole Bhasa Gaan; Moshakathon; Bhoirobee Research Team and more to begin.

Through “Shilpi Bachle, Shilpo Bachbe,” Bhoirobee sows the seeds for a future where creativity not only survives but thrives magnificently. It’s a mission that recognizes the invaluable contribution of artists to the cultural wealth of our society. By offering financial support, mentorship, and opportunities for artists to showcase their work, Bhoirobee aims to ensure that the flames of artistic brilliance continue to burn brightly.

In a mesmerizing display of artistic prowess, Bhoirobee’s Performing Team masterfully stages captivating theatrical productions that transcend time.
One such triumphant venture was the rendition of “Raikunjo” a dance drama that intricately weaved the threads of marriage customs and culture in the Srihatt region of Bengal. Under the visionary direction and composition of Young Director Eleas Nobi Faisal, the play brilliantly captured the vivacity of the Dhamail song and dance, a cherished tradition of Sylhet.
Bhoirobee’s relentless dedication to nurturing talent and enshrining cultural heritage ensures that such performances are not mere spectacles, but illuminating experiences that forge connections with our roots.

Through Dhara, we are sowing the seeds of cultural awareness, instilling a deep sense of pride in our heritage. This initiative is not just about preserving traditions but also about equipping the younger generation with the tools to become cultural ambassadors, carrying the torch of our heritage into the future. With Dhara, Bhoirobee continues to empower through education, creating a legacy of cultural richness and societal harmony.

stories of change

Jackson seeking a second chance

Jackson experienced homelessness for years. He was a cocaine and alcohol addict off and on for over 20 years. Despite his struggles, Jackson never thought he would enroll in any of Caridad’s programs. For years, Jackson would come through our doors for a rare lunch or dinner. It was only when he started seeing people he knew from the streets get the help that they needed, that he was inspired to make a change in his own life.
“I wasn’t happy doing drugs and drinking. I was always miserable. That’s when I decided to come to the Caridad and enter the Fresh Start program.”

We've Joined Forces

We're serving more. Because of you.

In order to effectively combat the epidemic of homelessness affecting nearly 80,000 people in New York City and to meet the needs of our neighbors across the New York metro area, Caridad and Drib Rescue Mission have joined forces with The Env Mission. Leveraging more than 400 years of combined service, three historic organizations have united to reimagine the fight against poverty and homelessness.
